I think Harcourts have been very helpful, demonstrating knowledge of the processes and managing people’s properties effectively.

Harcourts Agency, Campbeltown, starting with the owner (Laura) have been excellent in managing my property whilst I live and work in Rural Australia. The property was first leased out (as a new landlord) through another agency. But, the very first tenants (who had “viewed” the property online) started causing a drama almost immediately after moving in.

Refusing to pay rent,

complaining of imaginary issues (though the property passed a reputable building inspection),

and vacated with minimal notice (fortunately).

As per rentaI laws, I expected the first agency to act accordingly by arranging an immediate visit (within 48 hours), assess each alleged issue, and give a feedback.
But this did not happen, and the tenants walked away with two weeks unpaid rent. Fortunately, Harcourts’ owner (Laura) made a visit, (though her Agency were still not part of the managing team), took over the management of my property and with her colleague (Jazmine) recouped all my lost rent via the Tribunal. I do believe the property needed a good clean, their cleaning services took awhile to attend, but as all businesses do, services are contracted, so yes it did take a few days for the cleaning team to show up. Almost immediately, Harcourts found new tenants, and continue to keep an eye with regular inspections on my property. Even the weeks leading up to the tribunal Jazmine kept me in the loop. Personally, I think Harcourts have been very helpful, demonstrating knowledge of the processes and managing people’s properties effectively.
